Sunday Supper
Growing up in the South, Sundays were designated for three things: faith, family, and food. Well, four - friends, too. Lately, I've been thinking a lot about those Sundays and how they impact my life still today—the basis for why I love to cook. Cooking is my way to show you that I love you. My words are most often feeble, but my vittles are the vowels and verbs of a feast. If you were around me very long, you'd quickly learn, I'll find out what you like and don't like, and I'll alter what I'm making to accommodate you, not just nourishment for your stomach but a five-course meal for your soul. To know that you've been seen and heard. It's a love language my grandmother and mother passed down to me. So this weekend, I wanted to share a simple Sunday Roast slow cooker recipe I created last weekend. Kim and I ended up enjoying it for several meals. I hope you will too.
From our treehouse table to yours,
